Class 12. Miss Smith
Welcome to Class 12
Miss Smith – Class Teacher
Mrs Halford – Teaching Assistant
Learning Powers and our attitude to learning:
We are Class 12 and we are a class of 31 resilient, enthusiastic and curious learners! We are in our final year at Stonebow and so we try to have lots of fun but also act as responsible role models for the other children in our amazing school. It is up to us to set a good example!
We always try our best in every lesson and challenge ourselves to be the best that we can be. In Class 12 we try to be positive problem solvers so we NEVER say, “We can’t do it!” we say “We can’t do it YET!”
In English we will be completing a novel study based upon 'Street Child' by Berlie Doherty.
'The Victorians' is our topic for the Summer Term, this involves learning about key aspectsof the Victorian era such as: Queen Victoria's family life; what life was like in the towns and countryside; life for rich and poor children; the Industrial Revolution and key Victorian artists.
In science our topic is 'Forces' and we will identifying forces all around us and will be investigating how forces such as: gravity, air resistance, friction and upthrust work.
Our PE days this term are Monday and Thursday so we must make sure we have the right PE kit in school on these days and be prepared for all weathers as we like to get outside as often as possible, all year round! This Spring term we will be doing basketball and gynmastics.
We're always available to talk should you have any questions or concerns, either write a note in your child's Reading Journal or come and have a chat at the end of the day on the playground.
