Rights Respecting School

The Rights Respecting School Award is linked to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). The ethos and theory of this Convention are beliefs that all staff in Stonebow strongly agree with and hold with high importance. In September 2016, we at Stonebow started our journey towards becoming a Rights Respecting School. We’re starting from the very beginning, so our first target is to achieve the Recognition of Commitment Award. Level 1 will follow this and then Level 2 is our long term goal. Mrs Bailey is co-ordinating this.

Please keep an eye out on this page of our website as we will be sharing any updates or activities that we complete throughout our Rights Respecting journey. We’d love for you all at home to share in what we do!

Please see our winning logo design below. Mrs Bailey held a competition at the very end of last year (July 2016) to all KS2 children. Together with other members of staff, Amelia Draper’s design was chosen to represent our Rights Respecting journey. Well done to Amelia and to everybody who took part, it was an extremely tough decision!
