Sports Morning 2016

This year’s sports morning theme was the Olympic Games and children were put into 16 countries who will be competing at the games in Rio next month. All of the children worked really hard to compete for points for their team and used their Stonebow Learning Powers of resilience, determination and cooperation to complete the 16 events. After all of the points had been added together, the team with the most points was France with a total of 966 Points, making them the overall winners. They were closely followed by Jamaica with 931 points and India with 887 points in third place.

The overall team positions were as follows:

1st – France - 966

3rd – India - 887

4th – Germany - 884

5th – Kenya - 874

6th – Canada - 870

7th – Spain - 866

8th – Brazil - 864

9th – Argentina - 857

10th – China - 855

11th – Greece - 848

12th – South Africa - 843

13th – USA - 835

14th – Bahamas - 807

15th – Australia - 802

16th – Japan - 796

Well done to all of the children who qualified for the sprint finals too. The children competed with great determination in some very competitive races. The following children came 1st in their final:
