World Religions Day 2016
On Wednesday 20th January, we celebrated World Religions Day. Mr Lees, Miss Magee, Mrs Mistry and Mrs Brown rotated around our classes teaching us about different places of worship. We learnt about synagogues, churches and mandirs. It was a very interesting day. We focused on different religious artefacts, objects and features of the different places of worship. We were also creative on the day making our own interpretations of a stained glass windows, Jewish mezzuzahs (parchment scroll written in Hebrew) and pastel sketches of a mandir. Within the year 5/6 corridor in school, we have created a display to celebrate.
