Art Club runs every Thursday after school, from 3.15pm to 4.15pm for Upper Key Stage 2 children and is led by Mrs Bown, Mrs Wooldrige, Mrs Brown and Mrs Pitchers.
This term we have been looking at hearaldry as it is the 25th Anniversary of our school. We've looked into a basic history and the design implications including; symbols and colours and what they mean; mottos (converting English into Latin) and emblems.
The children then designed an individual coat of arms with aspects that reflected their own personal interests and personalities.
We have also worked collaboratively to create a school coat of arms, which we now have proudly displayed in the Art area near Class 9.
Mrs Bown would like to thank all of the children for displaying Stoneow Learning Powers with such enthusiasm. It has been a pleasure to work with such talented children.
Art Club will be taking a break after the February half term but will resume in the Summer Term. Have a look at our gallery and some of the fantastic work we have enjoyed creating.
Three children in art club were responsible for making a fabulous banner for the Stonebow Singers who are off to 'Young Voices' at the end of January. I'm sure you'll agree they did a fantastic job.
