Black Country Museum - June 2017
On Thursday 8th June the Year 5 and 6 went to visit the Black Country Living Museum to discover how people lived during the Victorian Era.
The children were able to explore 50 different shops, houses and workshops providing a genuine reflection of life in Victorian times. This included; a miners' cottage, sweet shop, pharmacy, bakery, chain makers and a chapel.
A trip down the mine and lesson in the school room also allowed the children to understand and appreciate how life was very different over 100 years ago.
