Cross Country KS1 - March 2019

Stonebow were represented tremendously well yet again at another school's sports competition. It was our children from KS1 who were in action this time at the Cross Country Competition. Every child that attended can hold their heads high and be extremely proud of themselves as no matter how difficult they found the challenging course they gave it their all and never gave up!

The event started with the Year 1 girls who all did brilliantly and set the tone very well for the rest of the group, a special congratulations to Sapphire who finished in 3rd place!

It was the turn of the Year 1 boys next and once again they all set out well, all trying their best to challenge for the front, it was a close battle for all involved and another high placed finish for Stonebow with Leo finishing in a hard fought 4th place.

Next, it was our Year 2 girls that took the challenge, this was our largest group at the event and they all continued as fast as they could. Stonebow may have found future Olympic Golf Medalists with our Year 2 girls with Freya finishing 1st, Molly finishing 2nd and Summer finishing 3rd.

The final race was a very tricky one, the conditions from the day had started to take toll on the course and the Year 2 boys continued fighting until the very end of their race with all of them completing the race very well.

Once again, a massive congratulations to everyone who participated in the Cross Country event!
