Cross Country KS2 - March 2019

Stonebow have recently been represented at a Cross Country Competition where our KS2 children did extremely well and every single one of those who attended can be proud of themselves!

The year 3/4 boys were the first to try out the long course at Woodbrook Vale and they ran really well! Everyone tried their hardest and never gave up! Our best position in out of roughly 80 children was Corey finishing in 8th place!

Our next race was the year 3/4 girls and again they all did very well, overcoming the challenging course and helping each other along the way. All of the girls did extremely well and our best finish was Anya who came in 6th place!

Next, it was all down to Kyle to fly the flag for Stonebow in a much longer race and he did so brilliantly! With the support of the rest of Stonebow Kyle finished in 8th place out of a very tough group!

Then it was over to Sophie and Caitlyn to test themselves and they didn’t disappoint, they both did incredibly well with Caitlyn having the best finish for Stonebow in 2nd place and Sophie coming in a great 11th place!

Over to the year 6 boys, in another very long race our group stayed extremely close together with only 5 places between them, all running great races. Our best finish came from Miles in 3rdplace and Harry coming a very close 4th!

In the last race we had an impressive amount of year 6 girls represent Stonebow and they all did extremely well having to race in difficult conditions after everyone else had finished their races. Imogen was our highest finisher in 6th place and again our girls came in very close to each other within 6 places of each other!
