A huge hello to you all!

I’m really looking forward to seeing you all next term and very excited about being your teacher. I’ve heard wonderful things about each and every one of you from Mrs. Garton and Mrs. Nagar and it’s sounds like we will have one very talented and caring Year 6 class.

We have a very exciting Autumn term already planned for you. We’ll be starting the year of with the picture book, Journey by Aaron Becker. Our class topic will be focused around the book Stormbreaker with some DT and art work you most certainly won’t want to miss. I’m saying no more as you’ll just have to wait and see. In Science we’ll be focusing on Evolution and Inheritance and ‘The Wet and Wild’ topic in Geography.

I now have a challenge for you. During the summer holidays I would like you to think of one wish to bring back and place in this jar. The ‘wish’ being an activity or skill you would like all of the class to get involved in. Something that uses our Stonebow Powers and involves everyone learning a new skill or being involved in an activity. It needs to be realistic and safe enough for us to be able to carry out it. For example, origami, yoga or constructing a model using Lego.

So, a good-bye for now. Enjoy a fun-filled summer holiday with your families, stay safe and see you in August. I can’t wait!
