Hi everyone, my name is Mrs Nagar. You may have seen me around the school but may not know me very well because I only started Stonebow in March this year. Before teaching at Stonebow, I’ve taught in lots of schools in Leicetershire and I even taught overseas. I have 2 children myself – they are both boys and will be starting Year 5 and Year 8 next year. Outside of school I like spending time with my family, travelling and going for bike rides. I also like to learn and try out new things. During lockdown I’ve learnt how to bake lots of new food like bread and also I’ve started to grow my own vegetables too!

From September I will be your new class teacher in year 5/6. Our class will be made up of some Year 5 children and also some Year 6 children too. I’m very excited about what we will be learning next year. So to start with, we will be doing a topic called Stormbreaker which is based on a book by Alex Rider which I know that you will enjoy reading and listening to. Lots of the work that we will do in topic lessons and English lessons will link to this fantastic spy story.

One thing that I would like you to do before we come back to school is to think of a wish for something that you would like our class to do together. It must be something sensible that we would be able to do in school and that we will all enjoy. For example watching a movie together, having a board game afternoon or even learning a dance together. At the start of term I will collect all of your wishes into a wish jar and then every so often, we will choose a wish from the jar to enjoy

I hope that you have a fantastic summer holiday and I look forward to meeting you back at school soon!
