Red Nose Day 2019
“Wow – what a fantastic day we have had at Stonebow raising lots of money for Comic Relief! We kick started the week with an informative assembly, discussing what this charity is about and why it is so important for us to support it. Then, on Red Nose Day itself, we completed a variety of activities in honour of this charity. Wherever you looked, all you could see was red; red clothes, red hair, red face paint, red noses, red socks, red everything!
As well as this, in admiration of celebrities climbing Kilimanjaro, every class in the school also took part in an obstacle course. We had lots of fun jumping through hoops, crawling through tunnels, testing out our balance on beams and climbing over huge a-frames. Even the teachers and lunchtime staff got involved!
We then ended the day off with an assembly where we replicated the ‘Big Quiz’ shown on the BBC. Mrs Bailey, Mrs Mistry and the Wellbeing Champions put several teachers and children to the test with a variety of Comic Relief related questions. The audience had lots of fun watching Mrs Lees, Mr Brockless, Mr Martin, Mrs Garton and Miss Turner complete some forfeit punishments for disobeying the rules of the quiz...
A great day had by all, raising money for an amazing cause. Very well done Stonebow!”
