Safer Internet Week - 2019

The week beginning Monday 4th February was Safer Internet Week, with the theme 'Together for a Better Internet'. Across the school, we have been using this as an opportunity to reflect on how we can keep ourselves safe online and also what we can do to make the internet a better place for everybody. The Digital Eagles delivered an assembly to launch the week and each class has been doing different activities related to Online Safety.

Year 1 have been learning about Buddy the Dog and singing a song to help them remember how to stay safe.

Other classes have been telling stories; performing role plays; and learning about and discussing many aspects of Online Safety as well as how we can work together for a better Internet.

In addition to all of the above, the children have been working on their entries to an exciting competition to either design a poster about how we can work together to make a better Internet or write a letter to Google telling them what we thing they could do to make the Internet a better place.  We have had some amazing entries which the Digital Eagles and the Word Wizards will be judging shortly, with the winners announced very soon!
