Sports Day 2019

After having to be postponed due to the weather earlier in the week, we held our annual Stonebow Sports Day on Thursday 27th June and what a success it was.

Mr Martin organised the event with children in teams from the countries being represented in the Women's World Cup.

As always we have a range of different activities including: basketball hoop, javelin throw, beanbag balance, football shoot out and the egg and spoon race.

Each team was awarded points at each activity and these were added up at the end of the morning to find the overall winning teams.

The winning teams were:

1st place - Germany

2nd place - England

3rd place - Japan

A huge thank you must go to: Mr Martin, for organising the event; all the parents that came along to support and cheer on their children; the staff, for all their hard work counting and adding up scores and of course the children for their enthusiasm and great sportsmanship, encouraging their team members and cheering one another on.

One final thank you must also go to Morrisons for donating water and fruit for the children to refresh themselves during the morning.
