Trip to Warning Zone - February 2016

On Friday 26th February, all year 6 children visited Warning Zone in Leicester.

Warning Zone is a unique, interactive learning experience which teaches life skills to children and young people such as understanding risks and consequences, peer pressure, personal safety, and how to keep safe online. There are eight set-piece scenario zones representing real life situations. These include; Fire Risk in the Home, Electricity & Buildings, Alcohol, Personal Safety, Water Safety, Arson, Road Safety, and Railways.

In addition there is now a new interactive E-Safety Zone which takes the shape of a retro fair-ground, teaching the children about behaviour and risks online by providing activities based upon old-fashioned games such as ‘hook-a-duck’ and ‘coconut shy’.

The children were accompanied by Miss Magee, Mrs Halford, Mrs Houlton and Mr Stevens and we all had a really interesting and interactive day. Please ask your child to show you the workbook that they were given at school to support the visit.
