Trip to the Arboretum - June 2016
This week Class 5 went to the University of Leicester Arboretum. Despite the wet weather the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the outdoor area looking for animal habitats. On our adventures we gathered information about a variety of woodland creatures including where there live and what they eat.
The children discussed habitats they have previously looked at in school. They also collected items to build an ideal habitat for a small bird which they then built in teams.
Our wonderfully wet morning was finished with a story outdoors.
The children’s behaviour was fantastic, showing great use of their Stonebow Learning Powers of co-operation and concentration!
