Year 5/6 North Charnwood Netball Competition 2018

We started the afternoon against the favourites and eventual runaway winners of the tournament, St. Barts A. The girls took a heavy defeat of 5-0 and also realised the level of competition they were facing for the rest of the evening.

However, the girls bounced straight back with a 3-1 win against Newcroft in the second game. This win was all the more impressive as we went 1-0 down in the early minutes. Despite this, the girls worked extremely hard, gaining points from Megan (2) and Charlotte handing the girls the win with a third goal.

We were then unfortunately defeated in the last three games  defeats losing 1-0 to St Botolphs, 4-0 to St Barts B team and 3-0 to Hall Orchard.

Despite the tough competition the girls kept their heads held high and regardless of the score, gave everything they had in every game. The dismal weather and the results weren’t enough to knock the smiles off their faces which was lovely to see. Credit also goes to the girls as we were the only team in the competition not to use any boys in our squad.

Well done to: Isabel, Freya, Avni, Charlotte, Jessica, Martha, Megan, Daisy, Darcie and Cleo.
