Y5/6 Tri Golf Festival 2023

Year 5 & 6 Tri-Golf Festival

On Tuesday 24th January Stonebow were represented at a Year 5 & 6 Tri-Golf Festival where the children took part in many different activities throughout the afternoon.

The children were very excited before the event and could not wait to get started. The Tri-Golf festival was all about inspiring and developing the children. The 8 children who represented Stonebow took part in eight different golf themed activities throughout the afternoon. At the event there was a number of different schools who took part with 8 other teams at the event.

All eight activities the children participated in were different every time. This was to help maximise the children’s potential to improve on each part of their Golf game. These activities ranged from putting through cones into a hole, chipping their golf ball over obstacles and trying to make it land on the green, putting the ball at different targets to eliminate them to score points, and even chipping the ball at a big sticky target in a goal.

After completing all activities our last station was the rest station. The children were so ecstatic with the afternoon’s activities they did not want to rest. The children were given a number of golf balls to play with which helped to work on their coordination.

As the event came to a close we were pushed for time so we are awaiting eagerly for the results of the festival to be sent over. All children who attended the Tri-Golf event represented Stonebow brilliantly and showed great use of their Stonebow Powers throughout the event.
